Wartime Farm Sleeveless Pullover
This extensive pattern is based on the sleeveless pullover worn by Alex Langlands in BBC TV's Wartime Farm series. The pattern contains a combination of written and charted instructions to knit this garment. It includes instructions for a wide range of sizes to fit children, men and women. The pullover is knitted in one piece up to the underarm and then is divided and the front and back are knitted back and forth separately. It is knitted using stranded Fair Isle technique. The pattern has been created to raise funds for the Women's Land Army Tribute Campaign which is raising funds to build a memorial to the Women's Land Army. You can read about the campaign on their website www.womenslandarmytribute.co.uk The pattern includes instructions for all the following sizes: To fit ages: 3-4; 5-6 and 7-8 years and two adult length options to fit women/small and men/tall in the following chest sizes: 30; 32; 34; 36-38; 40; 42; 44-46; 48; 50; 52-54 inches (76; 81; 86; 91-97; 102; 107; 112-117; 122; 127; 132-137 cm) The pattern also includes links to video tutorials from Susan for working stranded Fair Isle knitting. This pattern is suitable for most intermediate knitters and above, with or without Fair Isle knitting experience. Two colour way options are provided in the pattern, one using Jamieson & Smith 100% Shetland wool and the second in Excelana 100% British wool which is Susan's own vintage inspired yarn range. Both options will give an authentic, period feel to the garment. Yarn kits are available containing all yarns and colours needed to knit your own Wartime Farm Sleeveless Pullover.
