A stylish and unusual jacket, originally from the 1940s, can be worn over summer dresses or teamed with jeans or trousers for winter wear. Knitting commences at centre front bottom edge and is constructed around a mitred centre point. The back is worked in striped ridges from the bottom up. The gathered sleeves create an elegant, tailored detail whilst allowing extra room in the sleeves for layers underneath. Designed to be worn open.

Knitted in Excelana 4ply 100% british wool from Susan Crawford in Land Army Green and Saharan Sand colourways.

The pattern can also be found in A Stitch in Time Vintage Knitting Patterns, Volume 2: 1930-1959.
