Bluem Sock is spun at a local mill and hand-dyed by Susan and her team at A Room Of My Own in a wide range of beautiful and varied shades. Bluem Sock takes colour extremely well resulting in rich, semi-solid shades. Bluem Sock is a non-superwash yarn spun and should be washed by hand in cool water with a gentle wool wash.
Bluem sock is a Fingering weight yarn, worsted spun with a high twist making it perfect for socks. The Bluefaced Leicester yarn is a soft but resilient fibre and combined with a small amount of nylon, it creates the perfect fabric for socks. The yarn shows off texture, cables and lace to great effect and the fibre combination takes colour beautifully.
Bluem Sock is available in both 100g and 25g skeins.
About Room Of My Own:
Room Of My Own was the colour of our first little dye studio, built from wood painted the same rich red as this luscious shade. The studio was the first home of A Room Of My Own hand dyed yarns and where all our recipes were fist created. Room Of My Own is also inspired by the pantone shade used for Susan Crawford Vintage for many years and recreates it in this yarn.
