This pattern features a decorative vertical rib and eyelet lace pattern which is designed to be worn fitted to the body. This pattern then moves into an exquisite lace pattern on both the front and the back of the jumper. It is knitted in separate pieces, including neat set-in sleeves; the pieces are then sewn together. The neck line is finished with an opening to one side with a dainty button and button loop attached.
Knitted in Coquette 100% cotton from Susan Crawford in Oyster colourway. Quantities also given for knitting in Excelana 4ply 100% wool if a warmer version is preferred.
The pattern includes charted instructions for the lace section.
The pattern can also be found in A Stitch in Time Vintage Knitting & Crochet Patterns, Volume 1: 1920-1949.
