This sample is the Springtime Bolero from A Stitch in Time Volume 2, knitted in Excelana 4 Ply in the perfect vintage shade of Powdered Egg and features a moss stitch back section paired with unusual fanned front sections created using a combination of short row shaping and decreases. This unusual shape makes the sizing very versatile and suitable for a wide range of sizes.
The pattern for this bolero is from the 1950s and is designed to emphasise that hour glass figure!
The finished size of the bolero is 36 inches (91 cm) but is designed to be worn open so could fit a chest size up approximately 40 inches (102 cm). The finished underarm length is 9.5 inches (24 cm.
