Pattern - Diamond Stole

Pattern Options

Inspired by the pattern on a lace table mat in an early 1950s needlecraft book, this elegant stole features a combination of small diamonds and a large central diamond in each pattern repeat. The project is begun with a provisional cast on and continues until the lace edging is completed at one end of the stole. The provisional cast on is then removed and the lower lace edging knitted downwards to mirror the top lace edging exactly.

Knitted on 3.5mm needles using Fenella 100% british wool from Susan Crawford, a lightweight yarn, creates a soft, lightweight fabric with fabulous drape. Fenella is available in 25 colours so you can create a wide range of palettes.

Diamond Stole is part of the Coronation Knits collection.
