POPPY YARN KITS USING OUR OWN ARTISAN HAND-DYED LOCK YARN NOW AVAILABLE.
Poppy is a truly spectacular yoked sweater design from A Stitch In Time Volume 3. You can now purchase a limited edition hand-dyed yarn kit to create your own beautiful Poppy using my fabulous new yarn, LOCK, spun from my own Lonk sheep fleeces blended with nylon to create a unique and very special fingering weight yarn - perfect both as a sock yarn but also for garments. The main shade used is Hay Bale against which I have used Apple Blossom, Red Sky at Night, Moss Covered Wall and Loam for the striking and effective yoke.
This very special yarn is spun exclusively for Susan Crawford Vintage at a nearby Yorkshire mill and hand dyed here at SCV.
The wonderful shade of Hay Bale is provided in 100g skeins and the four contrasting hand-dyed shades have been made into 25g mini skeins and provided as a yoke bundle to keep kit costs to a minimum and avoiding waste.
2nd size - to fit pattern sizes 7 to 11
In your yarn kit you will receive 4 100g skeins of LOCK in shade Hay Bale, plus a yoke bundle containing one 25g skein each of LOCK in shades Loam, Apple Blossom, Red Sky at Night and Moss Covered Wall.
3rd size - to fit pattern size 12
In your yarn kit you will receive 5 100g skeins of LOCK in shade Hay Bale, plus a yoke bundle containing one 25g skein each of LOCK in shades Loam, Apple Blossom, Red Sky at Night and Moss Covered Wall.
