Maggy is a versatile colourwork design featured in my new book, Evolution, a collection of 12 designs inspired by The Vintage Shetland Project.
Maggy is knitted in the round from the bottom up with a centre front steek worked throughout and additional armhole steeks are added when required. The shoulders are grafted together before bands are picked up and worked.
Three lengths of waistcoat are provided from with further information given to customise the length even further if required.
Theyarn used is Byre, a soft, fingering weight blend of Jacobs and Shetland fibres spun exclusively for me in a nearby Yorkshire mill. I have hand dyed four of the five shades to create a rich, autumnal palette of plums, golds and greens.
