Fenella - Verdigris

100% British wool - 75% Exmoor Mule, 25% Bluefaced Leicester, 129 metres/141 yards per 25g skein. Grown, sheared, spun and dyed in Britain.

Fenella is a 2 Ply yarn, worsted spun for a soft handle, and to replicate vintage '3 Ply' yarns of yesteryear. Its colour palette has been carefully created to echo vintage shades from the 1930s-1970s. It works exquisitely for Fair Isle projects as well as textured and lace stitches, blocking and holding its shape beautifully, whilst also possessing a delightful drape..

It is available in economical 25g skeins, perfect for Fair Isle projects.

Fenella is now hand-dyed in-house by Susan and her daughter, Charlie, at their Lake District dye studio, "A Room Of My Own" in a wide range of beautiful, vintage inspired shades. Fenella is a non-superwash yarn and should be washed by hand in cool water with a gentle wool wash.

About Verdigris: Verdigris, a bluish-green, suggesting the patina which forms on copper when exposed to air. Its tone soft, it combines beautifully with Sloe Gin and Caramel as seen in Anthriscus and also with stronger shades such as Rannoch and tonal shades such as Marriner.

Handwash in lukewarm water using a wool care product.
