Chester is a classic, elegant vest design from A Stitch In Time Volume 3. You can now purchase a limited edition hand-dyed yarn kit to create your own Chester using a combination of two of my beautiful yarns, Byre, a naturally light grey wool, spun using a unique blend of Jacobs, white Shetland and black Shetland fleeces and Wold 2 Ply fingering weight, a natural white yarn spun using a blend of Southdown, Bluefaced Leicester and Shetland wools. Both are spun exclusively for Susan Crawford Vintage at a nearby Yorkshire mill and hand dyed in-house by Susan and her team.
Byre and Wold 2 Ply are spun to the same specifications so make a perfect pairing. The warm varied tones of the natural grey yarn contrast beautifully with the bold vintage red and green shades hand-dyed on the Wold yarn. The dark blue shade is dyed over the natural grey Byre and is a deep yet subtle blue.
The undyed Byre in shade Dry Stone Wall is provided in 100g skeins and the three contrasting hand-dyed colours of Night Sky, Ladybird, a primary shade of red and Evergreen, a warm vintage green. The contrasting shades are provided in 25g skeins to keep kit costs to a minimum and avoiding waste.

In your yarn kit you will receive 2 100g skeins of undyed Byre in shade Dry Stone Wall , one 25g skein of Byre in Night Sky and one 25g skein each of Wold 2 Ply in Evergreen and two 25g skeins of Wold 2 Ply in Ladybird.
3rd size - to fit pattern size 3 (91cm / 36in chest)
