Pattern - Crowning Glory

This elegant beret showcases a beautiful lace motif in the form of a crown, inspired by a similar motif originating in Shetland on a lace shawl, knit in the late 1800s and destined to be a gift for royalty. The beret is divided into four sections with a crown in the centre of each section. The beret construction itself is very simple enabling the knitter to focus on the lace stitch within.

Knitted in Excelana 4ply 100% british wool from Susan Crawford in Alabaster colourway.

The pattern includes both written and charted instructions for the lace section.

Crowning Glory is part of the Coronation Knits collection.
