Excelana North is a very special blend of Excelana 4 Ply, spun specially for us to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Susan Crawford Vintage supporting British wools. Excelana North Fingering weight has been created to perfectly match the original Excelana 4 Ply. It is worsted spun for a soft handle from 3 plies of this stunning Cheviot and Bluefaced Leicester blend. It works exquisitely for Fair Isle projects as well as textured and lace stitches; responding well to blocking and holding its shape beautifully. Despite its softness, Excelana is a sturdy yarn that doesn't pill easily.
Excelana North is available in economical 50gm skeins.
: Soft, yet luminous, Agapanthus is a shimmering pale blue, used to great effect in lace shawls such as Umbel from the Evolution collection. Excelana North is hand-dyed here at our dye studio, A Room Of My own, on the natural, undyed, non-superwash, white yarn.
Handwash in cool water using a gentle wool wash and dry flat. For best results, always soak your completed project and watch the wool bloom!
As these yarns are hand-dyed please be aware that there will be subtle variation between dye lots. Because of this please be sure to purchase enough yarn for your project.
