You can now purchase all the yarn you need to knit Hearts and Bunnies, an adorable heirloom cardigan, which features elegant raglan shaping, a neat crew neck and both Fair Isle and Intarsia sections, making for a fascinating and absorbing knit. The pattern includes instructions to fit from age one year to eight years. Hearts and Bunnies is knitted using Excelana North, our flagship fingering weight yarn, spun from a blend of North of England Cheviot and Bluefaced Leicester fibre exclusively for SCV at a near-by Yorkshire mill. The resulting yarn is soft, snuggly and a delight to knit with. Excelana North is hand dyed in-house by Susan and her team in a range of vintage inspired shades.
Hearts and Bunnies is shown with a background shade of French Rose, with Nile Green, Ruby Red, Sweet Chestnut, Alabaster and Land Army Green used as the additional shades. Your kit includes all the yarn you need to knit Hearts and Bunnies in these shades but if you would like to swap to any other shade from the range simply let us know in the comments section of your order or e-mail us after placing your order with details of the colours you would like to swap. The pictures show the 4th size (for age 4 years) Hearts and Bunnies cardigan, worn by a two year old, to show how knitting a larger size can extend the life of children's garments but if you wish to knit the same size as the intended wearer, please choose the kit size to match the age of the child you are knitting for. A sizing chart and schematic show the actual finished size of the cardigan for additional guidance.
Ordering a kit is easy. Simply select which kit size you require for the size you are knitting. The kit price includes a 10% discount on the full purchase price of the yarn. Your PDF pattern can be purchased separately by clicking on the link at the top of the page.

1st size - to fit age 1

2nd size - to fit age 2

3rd size - to fit age 3

4th size - to fit age 4
