Marble is a unique sweater design from A Stitch In Time Volume 3 with a simple, classic shape with a dramatic striped patterning with a 'marble' motif. Originally published in the 1950s, we have created a colourway which replicates the striking colours used in this eye-catching sweater. You can now purchase our hand-dyed yarn kit to create your own Marble using BLUEM SOCK, a beautifully soft fingering weight yarn, spun from 75% Bluefaced Leicester wool plus 25% nylon for added strength, smoothness and longevity.

The Marble kit includes five glorious colours - Buttermilk - the natural undyed colour of Bluem Sock, Loam - a deep brown, plus three newly created shades - Legbar - a delicious turquoise; Red Granite - a gorgeous coral-pink and Daffodil - a clear, lemon yellow. Our yarns are hand dyed in-house by Susan and her team, who spend many hours perfecting the colour palette for our vintage patterns. These specially created shades are only currently available as part of the Marble yarn kit.

Bluem Sock is available in 100g skeins each containing 395m / 432 yds.
