GARNETT YARN KITS USING OUR FABULOUS VINTAGE WEIGHT YARN, FENELLA, 100% BRITISH WOOL, HAND-DYED IN A WIDE RANGE OF SHADES, ARE NOW AVAILABLE. Garnett is a floaty, diaphanous top with a softly curving neckline and deep dropped shoulders. It is worked with large needles and two fine yarns held together, creating a delightful open texture. A lace panel is worked up the front and on both sleeves. The top is knit from the bottom up, first in the round and then the front and back separately. The top was inspired by the artisan and businesswoman Annie Garnett, whose experimental fabrics were some of the first to have metals woven through them. Garnett is knitted with two strands of different fibres to mimic, in a simple way, these innovative techniques.

Garnett is knitted using Susan Crawford Fenella paired with our new companion yarn Luca-S Soft Kid-Silk

Garnett is modelled in two colourways:

Colourway 1, shown on Susan (who is wearing the 4th size to fit 102–107cm (40–42in) chest) is knitted in Fenella in the shade Columbine (a soft hand-dyed shade of lavender), paired with Luca-S Soft Kid Silk in Rose, a toning shade of lilac.

Colourway 2, shown on Charlie (who is wearing the 3rd size to fit 92–97cm (36–38in) chest), is knitted in Fenella in the shade Rannoch (a rich hand-dyed shade of burnt orange), paired with Luca-S Soft Kid Silk in Tangerine, a toning sold orange shade.

The kits are available in six sizes to fit from 28-62 inch chest as follows:

Kit Size A - To fit 1st size pattern: 71 to 76cm (28-30in) chest and includes 5 x 25g skeins of hand-dyed Fenella in colour of your choice plus 3 x 25g balls of our companion yarn, Luca-S mohair/silk blend in a coordinating shade.

Kit Size B - To fit 2nd size pattern: 81 to 86cm (32-34in) chest and includes 5 x 25g skeins of hand-dyed Fenella in colour of your choice plus 4 x 25g balls of our companion yarn, Luca-S mohair/silk blend in a coordinating shade.

Kit Size C - To fit 3rd size pattern: 92 to 97cm (36-38in) chest and includes 6 x 25g skeins of hand-dyed Fenella in colour of your choice plus 5 x 25g balls of our companion yarn, Luca-S mohair/silk blend in a coordinating shade.

Kit Size D - To fit 4th size pattern: 102 to 107cm (40-42in) chest and includes 7 x 25g skeins of hand-dyed Fenella in colour of your choice plus 5 x 25g balls of our companion yarn, Luca-S mohair/silk blend in a coordinating shade.

Kit Size E - To fit 5th, 6th and 7th size patterns: 112 to 137cm (44-54in) chest and includes 8 x 25g skeins of hand-dyed Fenella in colour of your choice plus 5 x 25g balls of our companion yarn, Luca-S mohair/silk blend in a coordinating hand-dyed shade.

Kit Size F - To fit 8th size pattern: 142 to 147cm (56-58in) chest and includes 9 x 25g skeins of hand-dyed Fenella in colour of your choice plus 6 x 25g skeins of our companion yarn, Luca-S mohair/silk blend in a coordinating hand-dyed shade.

Kit Size G - To fit 9th size pattern: 152 to 157cm (60-62in) chest and includes 10 x 25g hand-dyed skeins of Fenella in colour of your choice plus 6 x 25g skeins of our companion yarn, Luca-S mohair/silk blend in a coordinating hand-dyed shade.
