This stunning shawl was originally designed for the 2019 Blooming Lovely Club, its colours inspired by glowing golden dahlias. Perfect for spring/summertime knitting and wearing - the shawl is lightweight and not too large, so you can work on knitting it even on the hottest of days.
The shawl is constructed as a traditional triangular shawl beginning with just a few stitches gradually increasing to encompass the full pattern. The lace pattern is worked throughout, becoming familiar as the shawl progresses.
The shawl is knitted by holding together one strand of Fenella 100% wool with one strand of Mist, a gloriously soft and silky mohair and silk blend. The shades of Fenella change throughout the design and are each blended with Mist in turn creating a beautifully soft gentle transition from one shade to another.
The sample uses a combination of pink and white yarns with a splash of yellow but would look fabulous in a wide range of shades.
The pattern includes full written instructions as well as charted instructions and clear schematic diagrams.
