Bluem Sock - Berry Picking

About Bluem Sock:

Bluem Sock is 75% British Bluefaced Leicester wool/25% nylon, spun at a local mill and hand-dyed by Susan here at Monkley Ghyll.

Bluem sock is a Fingering weight yarn, worsted spun with a high twist making it perfect for socks. The Bluefaced Leicester yarn is a soft but resilient fibre and combined with a small amount of nylon, it creates the perfect fabric for socks. The yarn shows off texture, cables and lace to great effect and the fibre combination takes colour beautifully.

All shades are limited edition and dyed by hand here at Monkley Ghyll in a range of shades inspired by the landscape on this hillside farm.

About Berry Picking:

As its name suggests Berry Picking is inspired by that autumnal activity of picking berries and other soft fruits from the hedgerows and trees surrounding Monkley Ghyll. At this time of year we have a riot of fruits, blackberries, raspberries, plums, damsons and sloes. Our fingers are regularly stained with the deep purple hue of seasoned foragers and the kitchen overflows with blackberry crumble, damson jam and sloe gin!
