Dregpike is an extremely limited edition colourway - one of our Mythical Creatures range which will make ethereal fleeting visits from time to time. The dreaded Dregpike is believed to have been trapped by the melting ice caps of the last Ice Age and is a huge pike-like creature with dark hair down its spine and back legs which enable it to rear up out of the water to seize its prey. Numerous deaths of animals and humans over the years are linked with this terrifying creature! Our own Dregpike colourway is also dark and mysterious with scale-like bursts of colour and is just as rarely sighted as the Dregpike itself, with only 5 skeins available in this stunning colourway. Bluem Sock is spun at a local mill and hand-dyed in-house at our Lake District Studio in in a wide range of beautiful and varied shades. Bluem Sock takes colour extremely well resulting in rich, semi-solid shades. Bluem Sock is a non-superwash yarn spun and should be washed by hand in cool water with a gentle wool wash.

Bluem sock is a Fingering weight yarn, worsted spun with a high twist making it perfect for socks. The Bluefaced Leicester yarn is a soft but resilient fibre and combined with a small amount of nylon, it creates the perfect fabric for socks. The yarn shows off texture, cables and lace to great effect and the fibre combination takes colour beautifully.
