  • Bluem Sock - Red Sky At Night

    About Bluem Sock
    75% Bluefaced Leicester / 25% nylon
    400 metres / 437 yards per 100g

Bluem Sock is spun at a local mill and hand-dyed by Susan and her team at A Room Of My Own in a wide range of beautiful and varied shades. Bluem Sock takes colour extremely well resulting in rich, semi-solid shades. Bluem Sock is a non-superwash yarn spun and should be washed by hand in cool water with a gentle wool wash.

Bluem sock is a Fingering weight yarn, worsted spun with a high twist making it perfect for socks. The Bluefaced Leicester yarn is a soft but resilient fibre and combined with a small amount of nylon, it creates the perfect fabric for socks. The yarn shows off texture, cables and lace to great effect and the fibre combination takes colour beautifully.

Bluem Sock is available in both 100g and 25g skeins.

    About Red Sky At Night:

A complex soft-red shade, with hints of pink suggest a red sky at night as the sun sets over the bay. The evening skies of the North-West England coast take on this dramatic tone as the sun slowly drops behind the horizon, surrounded by smouldering skies.

    Care Instructions
Handwash in cool water using a gentle wool wash and dry flat.
    Please note
As these yarns are hand-dyed please be aware that there will be subtle variation between dye lots. Because of this please be sure to purchase enough yarn for your project.
