    ABOUT THE CUMULUS YARN KIT

Cumulus is a stylish neckerchief, just the perfect size for tying around the neck in a number of elegant ways. This small piece is inspired by the work of Bloomsbury artist, Duncan Grant, and specifically his textile design, Clouds.

Cumulus is a small neckerchief with a simple surface pattern, which is created using a combination of intarsia, duplicate stitching and embroidery and is a great introductory project for all of these techniques.

Cumulus is knitted using Susan Crawford Byre, fingering weight yarn a naturally grey yarn spun from a blend of 100% British wools, and hand-dyed here at our Lake District studio. The natural grey base results in a slightly heathered, soft tone to all the shades, linking the four colours together with the grey undertones.

To order your kit, select either the yarn only or yarn plus PDF option.

What your kit includes: Five shades of Byre - 25g of natural Dry Stone Wall, plus 25g each of Straw Hat, Banting, Charleston, and Broussa.
