Garnett is a floaty, diaphanous top with a softly curving neckline and deep dropped shoulders. It is worked with large needles and two fine yarns held together, creating a delightful open texture. A lace panel is worked up the front and on both sleeves. The top is knit from the bottom up, first in the round and then the front and back separately. The top was inspired by the artisan and businesswoman Annie Garnett, whose experimental fabrics were some of the first to have metals woven through them. Garnett is knitted with two strands of different fibres to mimic, in a simple way, these innovative techniques.

Garnett is knitted using Susan Crawford Fenella and Susan Crawford Mist

Garnett is shown here in two colour ways:

Rannoch (Fenella) a rich shade of burnt orange and Clockwork (Mist) a toning solid orange shade.

Colourway Two uses shades:
Columbine (Fenella) a soft shade of lavender and Heathcote (Mist) a toning shade of lilac.

The kits are available in six sizes to fit from 28-62 inch chest as follows:

Kit Size One: To fit sizes 71 to 86cm (28-34in) includes 5 X 25g skeins of Fenella in colour of your choice plus 2 x 50g skeins of Mist in a coordinating hand-dyed shade.

Kit Size Two: To fit sizes 92 to 97cm (36-38in) includes 6 X 25g skeins of Fenella in colour of your choice plus 2 x 50g skeins of Mist in a coordinating hand-dyed shade.

Kit Size Three: To fit sizes 102 to 107cm (40-42in) includes 7 X 25g skeins of Fenella in colour of your choice plus 3 x 50g skeins of Mist in a coordinating hand-dyed shade.

Kit Size Four: To fit sizes 112 to 137cm (44-54in) includes 8 X 25g skeins of Fenella in colour of your choice plus 3 x 50g skeins of Mist in a coordinating hand-dyed shade.

Kit Size Five: To fit sizes 142 to 147cm (56-58in) includes 9 X 25g skeins of Fenella in colour of your choice plus 3 x 50g skeins of Mist in a coordinating hand-dyed shade.

Kit Size Six: To fit sizes 152 to 157cm (60-62in) includes 10 X 25g skeins of Fenella in colour of your choice plus 3 x 50g skeins of Mist in a coordinating hand-dyed shade.
