Gridlock Yarn Kit

This kit contains all the yarn you need to knit the striking Gridlock fingerless mittens. Choose from a yarn only kit or a yarn plus PDF pattern option.

The Gridlock mittens feature a striking graphic design inspired by the designer's love of repeating patterns and tessellating shapes. The all-over colourwork pattern is particularly intriguing as it features a recurring motif that runs diagonally around the mitt. Knitted in the round, the mittens also feature colourwork thumb gussets with a co-ordinating yet different colourwork pattern and deep corrugated rib cuffs.

Gridlock is knitted in Susan Crawford Excelana North, fingering weight 100% British wool, worsted spun from a blend of Cheviot and Bluefaced Leicester wools. It works exquisitely for Fair Isle projects and responds well to blocking and holds its shape beauifully. Despite its softness, Excelana is a sturdy yarn that doesn't pill easily.

Gridlock is shown in two colourways: Colourway A is knitted in Icelandic Moss, a vibrant moss green, paired with Alabaster, the natural undyed Excelana North and Colourway B is knitted using Damson Wine, a delightful shade of purple, again paired with Alabaster. Choose from either of these colourways or select Custom Colourway to choose your own colours from the Susan Crawford Excelana North, fingering weight colour palette.
