The Lucrezia Socks by Tess Young are the perfect pattern for mindful knitting, featuring a simple and soothing repeating lace pattern, inspired by a character from Virginia Woolf's novel, Mrs Dalloway. The socks are knitted from the cuff down, following a stitch pattern which can be worked from a chart or written instructions, whichever you prefer. It features a classic flap-and-gusset heel construction, with four sizes to choose from to ensure a perfect fit.
Our yarn kit includes all the hand-dyed yarn you need to knit these sweet and stylish socks. The Lucrezia Socks are knitted in our Bluem Sock fingering weight yarn, a blend of 75% Bluefaced Leicester wool, combined with 25% Nylon to create a yarn which is both hard-wearing and super-soft. Bluem Sock is spun with a high twist for added strength. Every skein is spun at a local mill, and hand-dyed in our studio.
The kit includes one 100g skein of Bluem Sock, which is enough yarn to knit any of the sizes, in the deep rich shade shown in the photos, Red Sky at Night. However, if you would prefer to choose your own colourway, simply pick any one of the wonderful shades of Bluem Sock from the drop down menu. To make your choice, you can see all the shades here.
