New Beginnings are a beautiful pair of socks featuring a repeating Fair Isle motif in striped bands on the legs and feet. You can now purchase a limited edition hand-dyed yarn kit using our fabulous new yarn, LOCK, spun from our own Lonk sheep fleeces belnded with nylon to create the perfect sock yarn. This very special yarn is spun exclusively for us at a Yorkshire mil and hand-dyed in-house at our Lake District studio in shades inspired by the Bloomsbury movement.
The New Beginnings sample shown is knitted using two shades of Susan Crawford Lock, Malus, a warm taupe shade with very subtle pink undertones and Rodwell a soft red again with subtle pink undertones.
Choose from either a yarn only kit or a yarn plus PDF version. Both options come with a lovely SCV project bag .
What if you would like to knit your socks in different colours? Select the Custom Colourway option from the drop down menu then just let us know in the notes section of your order which shades of LOCK you would like. LOCK comes in an impressive array of colours which you can see here LOCK Colours
The New Beginning kits fit all sizes shown in the pattern. If you wish to make your socks longer than specified in the pattern, you can purchase additional 25g skeins of Lock in your chosen colours.
In your kit you will receive:
50g of Lock in each of the two colours chosen plus your SCV project bag.
