Blackberry Stitch Cardigan

  • The Blackberry Stitch Cardigan was first published in 1947 and featured vertical columns of blackberry stitch throughout. The deep v-neck front and nipped in waist create a striking silhouette. The cardigan is knitted in separate flat pieces and then sewn together.

Blackberry Stitch Cardigan is knitted using Susan Crawford Excelana North, fingering weight a soft, fingering weight 100% British wool, spun for us in nearby Yorkshire and dyed in-house by Susan and her team, and is shown here in shade Clematis.

Our model Theodora is shown wearing the second size to fit chest 86cm (34in).

The pattern includes instructions for six sizes to fit chest measurements between 76cm (30in) and 127cm (50in) and contains clear written instructions plus a comprehensive schematic diagram and sizing chart.
