A Stitch in Time Vintage Knitting & Crochet Patterns, 1920-1949: Vol. 1

    • The Country Walks Beret pattern is crocheted in a delightful 'tuft' stitch which creates an interesting surface pattern. Crocheted from the crown downwards the beret is easily adjustable for the perfect fit with increases created by working additional tuft stitch combinations. The brim is ten worked in double (single) crochet to provide a firm structure to the body of the beret.

Country Walks Beret is crocheted in Susan Crawford Excelana North, fingering weight a soft, fingering weight 100% British wool, spun for us in nearby Yorkshire and dyed in-house by Susan and her team. Shown here in shade Clematis.

The pattern includes instructions for one sizes to fit head circumference measurements of 49cm (19?in), adjustable by varying the number of increase rounds and contains clear written instructions plus a comprehensive schematic diagram and sizing chart.
