A Stitch in Time Vintage Knitting & Crochet Patterns, 1920-1949: Vol. 1

    • Embroidered with Tiny Flowers is a 'tyrolean' style sweater first published in the late 1930s. The sweater features an unusual yoke on both front and back sections plus short puff-sleeves all embroidered with dainty flowers. The folded neck band has contrasting ribbon threaded us to close the neckline. The sweater is knitted in separate flat pieces and then sewn together. The body commences with a nipped in waist with increases worked at the side seams.

Embroidered with Tiny Flowers is knitted using Susan Crawford Lomaria, fingering weight, a luxurious blend of Alpaca, Silk and Cashmere fibres, in shade Vermillion hand-dyed in-house by Susan and her team. Single skeins of embroidery threads in white and green are used for the decorative stitches on the yoke and sleeves.

Our model Theodora is shown wearing the first size to fit chest 76-81cm (30-32in).

The pattern includes instructions for six sizes to fit chest measurements between 76cm (30in) and 132cm (52in) and contains clear written instructions plus a comprehensive schematic diagram and sizing chart.
