The Perfect Christmas Jumper is exactly as described - the perfect jumper for the festive season! With stylish 1940’s shape of neat fitting body sitting on the waistline, a crew neck with back neck opening, and long elegant sleeves, The Perfect Christmas Jumper is a true classic. It is knitted in four separate pieces which are then sewn together, with the colourwork sections on the front and sleeves, knitted using a combination of stranded colourwork and intarsia techniques.
The Perfect Christmas Jumper is knitted using Susan Crawford Excelana North, fingering weight a soft, fingering weight 100% British wool, perfect for knitting colourwork and also suitable for wearing next to the skin, hand-dyed at our Lake District studio - in true festive shades of Siren – a bold red, paired with the natural undyed creamy-white of Alabaster.
Our model is shown wearing the 2nd size to fit 82–86cm (32–34in) chest.
Finally choose from the beautiful range of hand dyed colours in Excelana North for the main shade of your jumper, to be paired with Alabaster. The kit comes in six sizes to fit from 71-127 cm (28-50 in) chest as follows:
Kit Size One: 1st size pattern to fit 71 to 76cm (28-30in) chest includes 6 X 50g skeins of Excelana North hand-dyed in your chosen colour plus 1 50g skein of Alabaster.
Kit Size Two: 2nd size pattern to fit 82 to 86cm (32-34in) chest includes 6 X 50g skeins of of Excelana North hand-dyed in your chosen colour plus 1 50g skein of Alabaster.
Kit Size Three: For 3rd size pattern to fit 92-97cm (36-38in) chest includes 7 X 50g skeins of Excelana North hand-dyed in your chosen colour plus 1 50g skein of Alabaster.
Kit Size Four: For 4th size pattern to fit 102-107cm (40-42in) chest includes 8 X 50g skeins of Excelana North hand-dyed in your chosen colour plus 2 50g skeins of Alabaster.
Kit Size Five: For 5th size pattern to fit 112 to 117cm (44-46in) chest includes 9 X 50g skeins of of Excelana North hand-dyed in your chosen colour plus 2 50g skeins of Alabaster.
Kit Size Six: For 6th size pattern to fit 122 to 127cm (48-50in) chest includes 10 X 50g skeins of of Excelana North hand-dyed in your chosen colour plus 2 50g skeins of Alabaster.
