This 1930s pattern features a simple stitch pattern but an unusual construction. The main body is knit in four pieces, a front and back which are knit sideways paired with vertically knitted side panels, creating a neat, boxy shape. Fitted sleeves are knit side to side, then finished with a separate cuff, and the distinctive petal collar is also worked in four separatet pieces, resulting in a truly iconic sweater. It has a gentle boxy shape which is both elegant and extremely comfortable.
This Attractive Affair is knitted using Susan Crawford Breeze fingering weight, a lustrous fingering weight yarn, blended from 50% Merino wool and 50% silk with 400m / 437yds per 100g skein.
This Attractive Affair is knitted in two contrasting shades Oyster a warm, beige shade and Ruby Red a rich, warm red, both hand-dyed by our in-house team.The kits are available in four sizes to fit from 30-60 inch chest and short or long sleeves:
Kit Size One: To fit 1st chest size (81-86cm / 32-34in) and includes 3 X 100g skeins of hand-dyed Breeze in Oyster plus 2 x 100g skeins of hand-dyed Breeze in Ruby Red.
Kit Size Two: To fit 2nd and 3rd chest sizes (92-107cm / 36-42in) and includes 4 X 100g skeins of hand-dyed Breeze in Oyster plus 2 x 100g skeins of hand-dyed Breeze in Ruby Red.
Kit Size Three: To fit 4th, 5th and 6th chest sizes (112-132cm / 44-52in) and includes 5 X 100g skeins of hand-dyed Breeze in Oyster plus 2 x 100g skeins of hand-dyed Breeze in Ruby Red.
Kit Size Four: To fit 7th and 8th chest size (137-152cm / 54-60in) and includes 6 X 100g skeins of hand-dyed Breeze in Oyster plus 3 x 100g skeins of hand-dyed Breeze in Ruby Red.
