The Weldon pattern is inspired by an old booklet called Dainty Undies, published by Weldons Practical Needlework in the early 1940s. Weldon is a close-fitting, lacy garment that comes in two versions: a cropped vest and a stylish dress. The easy lace and garter stitch panels provide a great introduction to lace knitting, and the simple shape makes this a fun and surprisingly quick knit. Both garments are knitted from the bottom up.

Weldon is knitted using Susan Crawford Lomaria, a luxurious fingering weight yarn created from a blend of 70% Alpaca, 20% Silk, 10% Cashmere.
Weldon is shown here in two styles; the dress in shade Snowdrop and the top/vest version in shade Dealbata.

There are five kit sizes to fit from 71-162cm (28-64in)
Kit Size One - To fit Vest in chest sizes 71cm-86cm (28-34in) and includes 1 100g skein of Lomaria.
Kit Size Two - To fit Vest in chest sizes 92cm-157cm (36-62in) and Dress in chest sizes 71-76cm (28-30in) and includes 2 100g skein of Lomaria.
Kit Size Three - To fit Vest in chest sizes 162cm (64in) and Dress in chest sizes 81-97cm (32-38in) and includes 3 100g skein of Lomaria.
Kit Size Four - To fit Dress in chest sizes 102-132cm (40-52in) and includes 4 100g skein of Lomaria.
Kit Size Five - To fit Dress in chest sizes 137-162cm (54-64in) and includes 5 100g skein of Lomaria.
