Bluem Sock is spun at a local mill and hand-dyed by Susan and her team at A Room Of My Own in a wide range of beautiful and varied shades. Bluem Sock takes colour extremely well resulting in rich, semi-solid shades. Bluem Sock is a non-superwash yarn spun and should be washed by hand in cool water with a gentle wool wash.

Bluem sock is a Fingering weight yarn, worsted spun with a high twist making it perfect for socks. The Bluefaced Leicester yarn is a soft but resilient fibre and combined with a small amount of nylon, it creates the perfect fabric for socks. The yarn shows off texture, cables and lace to great effect and the fibre combination takes colour beautifully.

Bluem Sock is available in both 100g and 25g skeins.

About Farm Gate:

Old farm gates have a particular beauty. Aged and usually broken in some way; hanging from one one hinge, tied in place with the ubiquitous baling twine, or held together with the wood from several other gates long since removed. The wood is pale and weathered, washed by years of wind, rain, sleet and snow, sofening the brightness of newly made timbers into a softer patina. Farm Gate shares that softness and variegation of tone accompanied with surprising depth.
