Bluem Sock is spun at a local mill and hand-dyed by Susan and her team at A Room Of My Own in a wide range of beautiful and varied shades. Bluem Sock takes colour extremely well resulting in rich, semi-solid shades. Bluem Sock is a non-superwash yarn spun and should be washed by hand in cool water with a gentle wool wash.

Bluem sock is a Fingering weight yarn, worsted spun with a high twist making it perfect for socks. The Bluefaced Leicester yarn is a soft but resilient fibre and combined with a small amount of nylon, it creates the perfect fabric for socks. The yarn shows off texture, cables and lace to great effect and the fibre combination takes colour beautifully.

Bluem Sock is available in both 100g and 25g skeins.

About Lime Mortar:

The stone walls of farmhouses and barns are held togther by lime mortar, a traditional method of glueing together stones and widely used throughout history in many different countries and cultures. Lime mortar can be coloured to match the substane it is being used to hold together, but it is often seen as a natural soft beige with darker brown tones speckled through it. Lime Mortar attempts to replicate this with a complex, slightly variegate colour with dfarker and lighter shades throughout the skein.
