This kit contains all the yarn you need to knit one of our most popular designs, The Wartime Farm Sleeveless Pullover. This simple all-over Fair Isle vest is perfect for knitters learning to knit stranded colourwork and also for more advanced knitters who want an enjoyable intuitive project.
This kit is available using Excelana North 4 Ply, our signature signature fingering weight wool, perfect for colourwork. Excelana North a beautiful new blend of Excelana using wools from Northern England and the Scottish Borders and spun at a nearby Yorkshire mill, launched to celebrate our 10 years of supporting British wool here at SCV. This fingering (4 ply) weight yarn is soft to the touch but with just the right amount of stickiness for colourwork projects.
The kit includes our own hand-dyed yarns, spun in-house by Susan and her team, containing six hand-dyed shades of Excelana; Saharan Sand, a soft camel shade for the background, plus Cornflower Blue, a warm true blue, English Mustard, a deep yellow, Persian Grey, a warm mid-grey, Icelandic Moss, a vibrant green and Ruby Red, a deep, rich red.
The kits are available in twelve sizes to fit from 30-60in (76-152cm) chest as follows:
1st size to fit 76cm (30in) chest: 3 x 50g skeins of Saharan Sand coal plus 1 50g skein each of Cornflower Blue, English Mustard, Persian Grey, Icelandic Moss and Ruby Red
