Recommended gauge from 17.5 to 18 sts to 10cm (4in) using 5.5 mm needles.
This artisanal yarn is a unique blend of the wool of three British sheep breeds known for their beautiful fleeces, Southdown, Bluefaced Leicester and Shetland, creating a fabulously soft white yarn with bounce and spring.
Spun to create a bouncy, plump and smooth yarn but with enough bite for Fair Isle projects. Wold Worsted is available in both 100g and 25g skeins.
Wold is dyed in-house by Susan and her team at her Lake District studio in a wide range of beautiful and varied shades. Wold takes colour extremely well resulting in rich, semi-solid shades. Wold is a non-superwash yarn and should be washed by hand in cool water with a gentle wool wash.
