A Stitch in Time Vintage Knitting & Crochet Patterns, 1920-1949: Vol. 1

    • This Lacy Gloves pattern feature an eye-catching lace panel on the back of the hand and is a great introduction to glove knitting techniques and include a thumb gusset. First published in the 1940s, this pattern provides instructions for the gloves to be knitted flat and then sewn together. Both written and charted instructions are provided for the lace pattern.

The Lacy Gloves are knitted using Susan Crawford Wold 2 Ply Fingering Weight, a unique blend of the wool of three British sheep breeds known for their beautiful fleeces, Southdown, Bluefaced Leicester and Shetland, creating a fabulously soft yarn with bounce and spring. Shown here in shade Pompium, hand-dyed in-house by Susan and her team.

The pattern includes instructions for one size to fit a medium ladies hand and contains both clear written pattern directions, together with optional charted instructions for 'Lacy' pattern.
