About Bluem Sock:
Bluem Sock is 75% British Bluefaced Leicester wool/25% nylon, spun at a local mill and hand-dyed by Susan here at Monkley Ghyll.
Bluem sock is a Fingering weight yarn, worsted spun with a high twist making it perfect for socks. The Bluefaced Leicester yarn is a soft but resilient fibre and combined with a small amount of nylon, it creates the perfect fabric for socks. The yarn shows off texture, cables and lace to great effect and the fibre combination takes colour beautifully.
Also available in 25gm mini-skeins.
About Glimpse Of The Sea:
On a summer's day a tantalising glimpse of the sea can be seen from the hills surrounding Monkley Ghyll. As the sun's rays hit the water, it turns a complex mix of blues and greens with flashes of paler tones where the sun bounces off the swell and deeper tones where the sun fales to penetrate and the shadows remain.
