• The Lady’s Sleeveless Fair Isle Pullover is truly the perfect 1940s colourwork vest pattern, with its neat shape, deep ribbed welt, v­neck and elegant all-over colourwork stitch pattern set against a plain background. with a repeating peerie pattern paired with two elegant main motifs against a stocking stitch background.

  Two fit options are included, a shaped lower body creating a sharp vintage fit or a straight lower body for a more contemporary look. Finally choose from a choice of three length options for ultimate customisation. The vest is knitted in the round from the bottom up, with steeks added at the armhole and front neck openings.

  The Lady’s Sleeveless Fair Isle Pullover is knitted using Excelana North fingering (4-ply) weight yarn, hand dyed inhouse at our Lake District studio in a range of fabulous vintage-esque shades. Colourway One has a soft palette of light blue Crayola as the background shade with Dark as Night, Powdered Egg, Blancmange, Alabaster and Himalayan Blue as the contrast shades. Colourway Two  has a classic combination of Saharan Sand as the background shade, with Ruby Red, Nile Green, Cornflower Blue, Alabaster and Persian Grey as the contrast shades.

  Samples: Lucy is shown wearing the fourth size 86cm (34in) in Colourway Two and Susan is shown wearing Colourway One to fit ninth size 110–117 cm (44–46 in) chest, medium length.

  The pattern includes instructions for seventeen sizes to fit chest measurements from 70cm (28in) to 157cm (62in) and contains both clear written pattern directions together with full colour charts plus a comprehensive sizing chart and helpful schematic.

  Gauge
  32 sts and 34 rounds = 10 cm over stranded colourwork, after blocking. We obtained this gauge using 3.25mm needles
