This one-off knitted sample from A Stitch in Time Volume 1 is knitted using Jamieson & Smith 2 Ply jumper wool, 100% Shetland wool, in a warm jade green. This sweater is knitted in an all-over 2x2 rib for maximum stretch and features a simple but flattering square neckline. The drama is provided by the oversized puff sleeves so popular in the late 1930s.
The sample was knitted in the first size to fit 32 inch (81 cm) chest and is designed to be worn with substantial negative ease and would therefore fit a wide range of sizes up to approx 38 inch (97 cm). It has a finished chest dimension of 25 inches (63.5 cm) and a length to underarm of 13 inches (33 cm).
