Panelled Effect Lady's Jumper

  • The Panelled Effect Lady's Jumper pattern was first published in 1946 and features a beautiful textured lace pattern set on either side of a ribbed central panel. The sleeves are worked with the same combination of stitches and are finished with a box sleeve head. The high neckline is folded over and stitched down to create a hard-wearing and elegant neckband. Charted instructions are also provided for the textured lace pattern.

Panelled Effect Lady's Jumper is knitted using Susan Crawford Fenella, a 2 ply (vintage 3 ply weight yarn), worsted spun for a soft handle. Exquisite for Fair Isle projects as well as textured and lace stitches. It is shown here in shade Porcellana.

Our model Theodora is shown wearing the second size to fit chest 86-91cm (34-36in).

The pattern includes instructions for five sizes to fit chest measurements between 76cm (30in) and 117cm (46in) and contains both clear written pattern directions, together with optional charted instructions for the lace 'panel' pattern; plus a comprehensive schematic diagram and sizing chart.
