    • A form fitting all-over lace jumper, featuring a flattering square neckline and with a choice of elbow length or short sleeves. The lace pattern is much simpler than it may look as there is no shaping required other than at the armholes and sleeve heads. This is a reworking of an original 1930s pattern featured in Susan's book A Stitch in Time volume 1.

It Cannot Fail To Please is knitted using Susan Crawford Excelana North, fingering weight, which is the perfect yarn both for lace knitting and a garment requiring stretch and the ability to retain its shape. The sample shown is knitted in the stunning autumnal shade of Damson Wine.

Our model Becky is shown wearing the third size to fit chest 97-102cm (38-40in) with 5cm (2in) of negative ease. This garment is designed to be worn with up to 16cm of negative ease at chest.

The pattern includes instructions for six sizes to fit chest measurements between 76cm (30in) and 131cm (52in) and contains both clear written pattern directions, together with charted instructions for the lace patterning, plus a comprehensive schematic diagram and sizing chart.
