The lace weight yarn is a luxurious blend of 55% Merino and 45% Silk, giving a subtle sheen and light drape to your finished project. A perfect yarn for lacy shawls and elegant light weight garments such as The Lady's Evening Jumper.
Each skein is hand-dyed exclusively for us by Travelknitter in one of eight stunning, jewel-like shades, created by Susan. Each colourway is named after one of her favourite classic films, featuring one of her all-time movie icons. Black Narcissus stars Deborah Kerr in this intense psychological drama directed by british director Michael Powell, who also directed The Edge of the World, filmed on the island of Foula off the west coast of Shetland. Powell shot many of the scenes in Black Narcissus against deep purple-black skies and mountains. Black Narcissus is an equally intense shade, a dark purple with hints of black, the smoothness of the yarn creating a wonderfully reflective colourway.
