A one-off knitted sample from A Stitch in Time Volume 1 knitted using Rowan Fine Milk Cotton yarn (a wonderfully soft blend of 70% cotton and 30% milk protein - now sadly discontinued) in Snow, a warm cream shade. The Moss Stitch Jumper combines all=over moss (seed) stitch texture with filigree crochet panels inserted into the sweater at the waist and to the sleeves. The style of this sweater is typical of the early 1920s with leanings still towards an Edwardian aesthetic. A drawstring cord is added at the waist if a more shaped silhouette is preferred and this is echoed in the ties sewn to the front of the v-neck shaping.
The sample was knitted in the first size to fit 30-32 inch (76-81 cm) chest and has a finished chest dimension of 35 inches (89 cm).
