Peggy is a simple, beautiful, classic vest pattern, with stranded colourwork stripes bordered by stocking stitch panels in a contrasting colour. This stylish combination makes Peggy the perfect addtion to any wardrobe, be it modern or vintage, and the pattern is suitable for both beginner and advanced knitters.
The pattern includes twelve sizes to fit from 71–162cm (28–64in) chest.
Peggy is knitted in Byre our beautiful, natural-grey, fingering weight, 100% British wool paired with Wold 2 Ply fingering weight, a natural white yarn spun using a blend of Southdown, Bluefaced Leicester and Shetland wools; both yarns are spun for us in nearby Yorkshire and dyed in-house by my daughter, Charlie. Peggy can alternatively be knitted using shades of Byre as the contrasting shades.
Peggy has been knitted using the natural undyed shade of Dry Stone Wall as the background shade, plus hand-dyed shades of Night Sky a dark blue, plus Wold 2 Ply in Ladybird, a true red and Genisteae, a bold yellow shade (WHILE STOCKS LAST). These can be swapped for Room of My Own and Ragwort in Byre if desired.
Choose from either the colourway shown or alternatively choose the 'custom' option to select the shades of your choice from the beautiful range of hand-dyed colours in Byre then select which size kit you require from the information provided below and the handy sizing chart included in the product images. Your kit will include the appropriate number of 100g skeins in the main shade plus 25g skeins in the three contrast shades. The kit comes in two sizes
Kit Type One: To Fit 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th pattern sizes:
Your yarn kit includes 2 100g skein of Byre in Hay Dry Stone Wall for Colourway one or the shade of your choice for Custom Colourway, plus 1 25g skein Byre in Night Sky and 1 25g skein each of Wold 2 Ply in Ladybird and Genisteae for Colourway One OR your choice of shades for your Custom Colourway.
Kit Type Two: To Fit 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th pattern sizes:
