Siddal is a loosely fitting sweater with a gathered yoke neckline and fluted sleeves, knitted in worsted-weight yarn for a quick and gratifying knit. It is worked from the bottom up with two body lengths available. The reversed 3x1 rib pattern transitions from a lace border. The neckline is finished with a garter stitch edging in which a cord is threaded. The pattern was inspired by Lizzie Siddal (1829-1862), known as the muse and wife of Pre-Raphaelite painter Dante Gabriel Rossetti - but also a talented artist in her own right. Many paintings show Lizzie in medieval-style dresses, and Susan has referenced this style in a contemporary way.Siddal is knitted using Susan Crawford Bluem Worsted, a worsted or aran weight yarn, worsted spun, with a honey-like softness and a delightful, lustrous finish.

Kit Size One - To fit chest sizes 71cm-76cm (28-30in) and includes 5 100g skeins of hand-dyed Bluem Worsted.
Kit Size Two - To fit chest sizes 81cm-97cm (32-38in) and includes 6 100g skeins of hand-dyed Bluem Worsted.
Kit Size Three - To fit chest sizes 102-117cm (40-46in) and includes 7 100g skeins of hand-dyed Bluem Worsted.
Kit Size Four - To fit chest sizes 122-137cm (48-54in) and includes 8 100g skeins of hand-dyed Bluem Worsted.
