About Anthriscus:
Anthriscus is a 'V' shaped shawl knit from tip to tip, starting at
one end and increasing to the centre, then working a contrasting central
section using short rows, then finally working decreases in a third
colour to the opposite tip. When worn wrapped around the neck the first
and third colours overlap whilst the remaining colour sits at the back.
Wear it lots of different ways to see how the colours interact. When
choosing your colours, you can play with contrasts or tones and even
include a colour that you like but don't want to wear close to your
face. The textural pattern is reminiscent of a linen stitch creating a
fabric which looks good on both sides.
The pattern contains written instructions and a schematic.
Knitted on 5mm needles using Fenella, a lightweight yarn, creating a soft,
lightweight fabric with fabulous drape. Fenella is available in 28
colours so you can create a wide range of palettes.
The sample shown is knitted in Caramel, Sloe Gin and Verdigris.
