    This kit provides you with all the yarn you need to knit your own Farrah waistcoat.

    Farrah is a wonderfully simple waistcoat knitted in Moss (Seed) Stitch throughout and with handy patch pockets added to the front sections. Farrah is knitted in flat pieces which are then sewn together for a tailored fit. Farrah is worked in three pieces, knitted flat. A small number of increases are worked at the side edges to create the distinctive waistcoat shape before the armhole and front neck shaping is worked. Farrah is designed to be significantly narrower at the front than at the back and is not intended to close at the front. Patch pockets are knitted sideways then sewn in place onto the waistcoat fronts to further add to the 1970s vibe of the waistcoat. 

    Farrah is knitted using Ghyll, 100% Lonk wool, from my lovely neighbour’s rare breed flock of Lonk sheep – a native sheep of the Lancashire hills. Their strong, slightly crisp wool is perfect for textured stitches such as Moss (Seed) stitch and its firmness provides

    the waistcoat with the structure it needs to hold its shape.

    A kit using this very special yarn is now available to knit your very own Farrah in a range of sizes to fit from 28-62 inch chest. You can use the sizing chart shown to help you choose the best size for you.



    Each pattern size has been allocated its own kit with each providing ample yarn for the size chosen. Simply select which kit size you require on ordering and remember to purchase  your Farrah pattern using the link above. The kit price includes a 10% discount on the full purchase price of the yarn

    The kits are available in twelve chest sizes to fit from 28-62in (71-157cm) chest plus three length options. Use the information below to choose which size kit you require and then simply decide which length you wish:

    1st size to fit 71cm (28in) chest: 3 x 100g skeins of Ghyll in Natural

    2nd size to fit 76-81cm (30-32in) chest: 3 x 100g skeins of Ghyll in Natural

    3rd size to fit 86cm (34in) chest:4 x 100g skeins of Ghyll in Natural

    4th size to fit 92-97cm (36-38in) chest: 4 x 100g skeins of Ghyll in Natural

    5th size to fit 102cm (40in) chest: 5 x 100g skeins of Ghyll in Natural

    6th size to fit 107cm (42in) chest: 5 x 100g skeins of Ghyll in Natural

    7th size to fit 112-117cm (44-46in) chest: 6 x 100g skeins of Ghyll in Natural

    8th size to fit 122-127cm (48-50in) chest: 6 x 100g skeins of Ghyll in Natural
