A Stitch in Time Vintage Knitting & Crochet Patterns, 1920-1949: Vol. 1

    • This stylish crocheted set includes a striped cloche-style hat and matching elegant scarf, with a smart chevron pattern incorporated into both. The scarf shows this off to great effect with one end of the scarf coming to a single central point and the other end of the scarf a double-pointed tail. This is replicated on the hat with an optional, decorative chevron motif which is sewn to the hat on completion. The hat is knitted in the round from the top down with increases worked to create the crown shape.

With a Touch of the Military is crocheted using Susan Crawford Excelana North, fingering weight a soft, fingering weight 100% British wool, spun for us in nearby Yorkshire and dyed in-house by Susan and her team.

Theodora is shown here modelling the set in shades Sweet Chestnut and French Rose.
