About Susan
Susan was born in the North West of England and grew up close to both of her grandmothers who taught her many crafting skills and in particular, how to knit, using vintage patterns as her guide; and so her ability to translate and understand vintage knitting patterns began at an early age. Vintage styles have remained a huge part of Susan's aesthetic whilst she has also successfully translated this into wearable knits for today's knitter too.
Susan is a designer, author, publisher and yarn producer who has published a number of titles including A Stitch in Time volumes 1 and 2, The Vintage Shetland Project and Evolution. Her twin goals are to ensure the incredible knitting patterns from yesteryear are available to as wide an audience as possible and that the patterns and books she writes are a joy to knit from and a delight to own.
